Over/Under an eternity next time National League wins an All Star Game?
- Hope it wasn’t just me who felt like baseball was dying with the odd “this is the last game that will ever be played” sort of feel to the pre-game.. essentially set it up to be anticlimatic. Producer must receive mid-season Overkill Award.
- Pretty weird, yet cool, to see Major League ballplayers starstruck for a change, during their meet and greet with the President.
That fly swatter himself/leader of our nation, Barack Obama, was called on to toss
the first pitch in this All-Star Game.. and he did so with White Sox
gear.. in the home of the Cardinals.. bold. However, just in
case you didn’t detect it from the boos Mr. President, the sea of red
and white in St. Louis didn’t appreciate the lack of bipartisanship..
- This was a needle to the retina.
Was hoping to see a monster shot from Teix during the ASG, but apparently no one was allowed to take it over the wall at Busch.
- Charlie Manuel has some killer managerial tactics.. The guy still has me wondering how you choose to intentionally walk any guy in a lineup literally
full of All-Stars. The walk served up in the 8th robbed Victor Martinez
of an at-bat in the game, while the guy after him, Adam Jones, drove
in a run with a sac fly.. the run that happened to win the game.
Explanation needed as to why the national broadcasts are always the
worst.. Do we not endure enough sportscaster stupidity, Boston a**
kissing and Yankee salary criticisms throughout the year? Just sayin’.
- Your Quick Bit Of Hilarity: Mo nailing down the save.. for none other than Jonathan Papelbon.. and he wasn’t even the one who truly
saved it for Pap, as Crawford’s catch in left robbed what would’ve been a
game-tying home run. MVP honor well deserved.. “Winning pitcher” label
in this one, not so much..
National League, your time will come.. when Mo
Just about fell in love with it..
The second half of the season.. A 10 game homestand in store for the
Yanks, beginning with a three game set against Detroit, following the
next two off days. It’s that time again.
P.S. No Derby post because.. it was unquestionably lame. Did we all really want ‘roids banned in baseball?
Just when you thought a Chamberslaying
had this one in the loss column..
that short right porch comes in handy.
[Starting to like that jet stream.]
Whatever the case may be, Joba is making it really hard to continue
viewing the guy as a starter. I wouldn’t mind having he and Hughes
switch roles right now.
- Whose bright idea was it to bring back up Cody Ransom?
- Hideki on fire. Way to shut me down.
And the Mets moments never end. One went right through Overbay’s legs in this
one.. Don’t know what it is about the Yanks that makes other teams lose
all capability to field the ball, but it’s funny.
Leave it up to Cano to pick up two hits in this game, neither with
runners in scoring position, and yet still find a way to look lost.
Was caught stealing and the king of the ground out in every other
at-bat, including ending the first inning with one with two men on
base. Two hits though, so I can’t completely trash the performance
today.. but I’m doubting he’d have gotten them if the bases hadn’t been
clear.. just sayin’.
- Jeet, Tex and Mo representing the Yanks in the All-Star Game. As with every year, there are some questionable choices
that I’d love to complain about, but it’s expected so I’ll leave it at
that. I have to say though, this year the National League may have a chance.
- There’s still the Final Vote left.. Kinsler got robbed, so get him in.
Beast Of The Ballgame:
4 innings, one hit, 12 out save. Hell of a job.
Last game with the red hats [at last] with Andy on the mound, coming
off a solid start, to close this series out against Ricky Romero, with
a live 20 scoreless innings streak [meaning he's due to get creamed], for Toronto. How about a four game sweep?
I should say defining embarrassment as well, to cover the Mets’ display of talent this series, but that’s too easy.
Manuel, I pity you.
- Another night Mets escape errors, but the bonehead moves were still in abundance. Reason New York has another team = sheer entertainment.
- Wang finally picks up his first win in over a year and no one cares because Mo’s the story.. tough.
- Randomness.. Wanger needs a sick haircut. Swish could probably come up with something good, but this would be pretty hilarious.
- How ’bout that sarcastic cheer for Castillo every pop-up in his own ballpark? I repeat: The guy is never coming back from that.. Bright side? Blooper/Oddity Of The Year [whatever TYIB Awards wants to call it this year] is his, hands down.
- I shouldn’t put it this way, but.. Robbie, cut the crap. I realize A-Rod’s new found “leave it all up the next guy” tactic [also referred to as taking the walk] has been putting the pressure on ya lately, but Alex wasn’t spared the sympathy, so Cano, figure it out.
- Sorry to put it so bluntly but could someone tell me the worth of Hideki Matsui?
- Closer vs. closer, bases loaded, 3-2 count… and a walk to force in a run. Classic. As a wise man once said.. “It couldn’t have happened to a better guy on the mound.”
Beast Of The Ball Game:
500th save and an RBI to boot. Can’t touch The Sandman.
Mo, thank you for being a Yankee.
On Deck: Joba on the mound, following a solid start in Atlanta, to face Brandon Morrow, currently transitioning back to the starter role, for Seattle. Make it 6 straight.
P.S. For your Off Day Boredom Relief, what Godzilla should consider doing:
[Not what he did on the first pitch.. Matsui is already doing a lot of that.]
P.P.S. Must quote the ever classy Mo from the ESPN interview shown after the game because it defined the man..
When asked about chasing Trever Hoffman, Mo’s response:
“I play the game because I love it.. I don’t chase records, period. I don’t play for records. I play for the New York Yankees.”
When asked about PED’s..
“I don’t even drink coffee.. If the talent that God has given me is not enough, well I have to quit. When I leave this game, I know, deep in my heart, deep in my mind, that I was clean.. Nobody can point a finger at me.”
Semi rounding up this past week [rather randomly]:
- Baseball is funny. Exhibit A [B, C, D and especially E]:
The New York Mets. At this point I really don’t know if I should
further their embarrassment.. but I’m going to anyway. *Virtual
bowdown* to the art form of losing they’ve developed. First Luis
Castillo’s epic failure, and now 3 errors in an inning by all
infielders but Luis Castillo.. irony at its best.
- I live for interleague play. Because of it, a pitcher
did the honor of knocking the other out of a game, the big man became
an offensive threat and Mariano, the Sandman, Rivera put on a batting
helmet and hit it hard. I’m seriously thinking the Yankee arms could pinch hit in non-interleague games, if necessary.
Mike Gonzalez is a ginormous weirdo. How does he not get the slow play
fine for his windup alone? It’s like a minor rain delay every pitch. [And like we haven't had enough of those..]
- A-Rod.. glad to have you back. [And I'm not just talking about your bat.. back to women that don't have biceps bigger than yours is a good sign.]
- It’s pretty clear right now that Joe G. is going to play the hot bat to handle the
outfield situation. That currently has Swish sitting out.. [for last
night at least.] What does the Red Bull Manic do on the bench? Sharpie his bat. Classic Swishness.
Happy belated to the Capt’n. Don’t know if he’s in the lineup tonight,
but if he isn’t.. jeezus, Peña makes a hell of a backup. If he is, the
Mets are the perfect opponent to kill the funk.. considering he hasn’t driven
in a run in two weeks, since last facing the blue & orange. DJ’s
cologne bottle is just laughing at him. Yeah, double plays aren’t fun to
ground into, but imagine how fun they are to watch. [Funny how the move to leadoff was supposed to solve that problem huh?] [That didn't quite
turn out to be the Happy Birthday I had in mind..]
- Brett The Jet = Beast. Yeah, the kid has legs.. but 5-6, with a homer at Citi? Beware the beast.
Yours truly is officially a high school graduate. [I'm as surprised as you are.]
Now which Yankee wants to sign my yearbook?
P.S. R.I.P to the man that gave the world P.Y.T.
P.P.S. Will live-blog it tomorrow, for the last game in this interleague road trip. Hope all stop by for the ESPN bashing at least.
And this was how to enjoy it:
[Excuse the misguided Mets fan yelling let's go Rays.. He's mentally ill.]
[And yeah.. we celebrated Damon's shot with Freddy! =)]
Who’s heading into [and leaving] Boston with sole possession of first place?
First off, was there a 5-Hour Energy promotion before the game I didn’t
know about? [Because there should be..] Because the crowd was pretty
pumped last night. The wave went through the entire stadium literally 4 or 5 times straight [despite how corny it is].. Your Quick Bit of Hilarity: When standing up and sitting down and the greatest thing in the world becomes synonymous.
- For the record.. Swish’s bomb? Called it [approximately
10 seconds before the pitch was thrown to be precise].. I must be
somewhere near 7 out of 10 this season now. Finally getting that career
prediction average over the Mendoza Line..
- How about that jet stream?
- Teixeira = beast beast beast beast beast.
- And let the
Joba Hughes bullpen/starter debate begin..
- With the entrance of Mo: “Why everybody clapping?” [I swear, there's always that one person..]
- Upon noticing a friend was cheering for anything..
Me: “Who are you even rooting for?”
Friend: “I don’t even know.. I’m going for the Lakers.”
- Same Friend: “What quarter is this?”
- Same Friend: “How many points they have? Three right? Three points baby!!”
- “Haha.. B.J... Who would name their child B.J. [Upton]?”
- With crowd yelling “Hugheees”..
Friend: “Why are they booing?”
Other Friend: “So that way they can like strike him out.”
- Me: “SoOoOo, enjoyed the game?”
Red Sox Friend: “Watch.. tomorrow man..”
On Deck: Another Boskees series.. beginning with Burnett and Beckett.. Hmm.. loving this match-up.
P.S. Just re-watched Swish’s innerview that aired on the pregame a couple of days ago.. Swish’s response to what he’d do during a rain delay: “I love naps” Me too, my friend.. me too.
get wrapped up in ditching class, trying to find time to sleep,
agonizing over the 5 game losing streak [that was just snapped
tonight], being lazy overall and this is what happens:
Re-Defining “Performance Enhancing Drugs”:
Talk about insane timing. I was considering just reusing my last ‘roid post title “Baseball Is A Dirty Rag That Just Can’t Enough” for this new bombshell, but I realized that just didn’t do the job for me after reading this:
two sources said the substance Ramirez tested positive for was a
gonadotropin. Major League Baseball’s list of banned substances
includes the gonadotropins LH and HCG, which are most commonly used by
women as fertility drugs. They also can be used to trigger testosterone
production. Testosterone is depleted by steroid use, and low
testosterone can cause erectile dysfunction.
and similar drugs are effective for erectile dysfunction in that they
jazz up your sex drive,” said Charles Yesalis, a professor at Penn
State University who has testified before Congress on issues of
performance-enhancing drugs. “But far more clinicians accept that
affect with Viagra and Cialis. It’s hard for me to understand if it was
erectile dysfunction why they would use it.”
physician with experience in international drug-testing said LH and HCG
are occasionally prescribed for men “whose testicles have basically
what Manny tested positive for wasn’t exactly a steroid or human growth
hormone, it is said that “HCG is used to re-stimulate the testicles,
primarily in men with a history of steroid use”.. But if the fact that
Manny’s “performance”/testicular problems is now plastered everywhere doesn’t give you a good laugh, you need a sense of humor.
But, in all seriousness, HFS. [Hey friggin soos.] This game will never be rid of this. Never.
Take a game that encompasses picking statistics down to the bone, toss
in a fistful of tainted numbers and some tablespoons of doubt, stir exhaustively and
I guarantee you will no longer know what you’re eating / being stuffed down your throat.
The Return Of That Dude At Third Base:
talk about insane timing.. and not just on that first swing tonight.
The day after the Manny news is released and is handed a 50 game
suspension and hell of a fine, A-Rod plays his first game of the
season, after spending April and the first week of May on the DL
following some steroid news of his own over the offseason. So how does
First pitch.. first swing.. first homer.
Gods can be pretty big a-holes some times, but they kind of know how to
script these things. A tad optimistic here, but would be too much to
ask for this beginning to lead to a storybook ending? [Yeah, I know..]
Paid Vacations In Abundance:
Oh how pinstriped boys love the DL…
let me get this straight.. even the backup guys aren’t safe? Cervelli
better have some magic in him.. though I think we’d all no choice but
to settle for a decent job behind the plate and whatever he manages to accomplish in the batters box.
- Double half a squiggly
was A-mazing in this win. Reason why the opposition was held scoreless
in this one: the bullpen never got a chance to screw it up. Thought a
tweet by HTBP was pretty funny:
“We usually say the game is over when Mo comes in, now we can say the
same thing of our bullpen.” However, judging by the two long balls he
served up the other night and the fact that Joe G. is admiting he’s
having arm strength issues.. maybe no one can be a guarantee on this team’s ugly pen.
- Speaking of those back-to-back smacks off Mo.. does Joe G. have a set of functioning balls on him or what? Pulling out the Sandman in the middle of the 9th? Haven’t seen that since… time out, has that ever happened?
Uh.. I don’t even remember what else I wanted to say, but I refuse to
reflect much on those 5 knife stabbing losses before tonight, so I will
just say that let’s forget the problems and get moving in the right
direction [and avoid the bullpen at all costs].
On Deck: Hughes taking the mound to face Adam Eaton at 7:05 looking deliver an additional stellar outing to keep things on track.
Swish is still awesome. Really cheered for that ejection the other day.
The umpiring the entire homestand was ridiculous and someone needed to
curse one of those umps out. I would’ve did it myself when I went to
the Boskees game on Tuesday but my ejection wouldn’t have be so awesome
and would’ve been a total waste of a ticket.. so I winded up settling
for just yelling really loud, losing my voice, sticking it out through
the rain, developing a sore throat and being an hour and a half late to
school the next day instead.
I will likely deny this later, but I may have a slight new found respect for
Pap.. yeah, the Jonathan Papelbon.. though solely because of his response to the
Manny news in this interview:
Props.. However, I will continue to loathe him full force on the field.
thought it’d get worse than that 22-4 game.. but this just about did
it. No lopsided score, but this one couldn’t get any more cruel. It
really needs no recap, but let me lay out how ugly it was, how much it
pissed me off, and how the Yanks are screwed [at least for near future]:
1.) Joe G. has a twisted delusion that he’s a magician and can pull his managerial decisions out of a hat.
2.) Playing Where’s
Bruney was rigged.. he wasn’t even in the picture. Where was he? On his
way back to New York for an MRI for his elbow. And why were we forced
to play the guessing game and didn’t hear about his departure or even
the suspicion of a problem with his elbow until after we needed him and the game was over you ask? I’d love to know that too.
The only thing worse than Cody Ransom, is no Cody Ransom. Despite his
A-Rod-esque trouble under the pressure.. when you have to resort to the
backup’s backup.. you know you’re screwed.
Wang can reuse his blue badge once more as he is on the DL again.
Though there doesn’t seem to be an actual injury, with the Yanks
expected to merely make something up to get the extra roster spot while
he figures things out, I almost wished it were an injury.. At least
then we’d know the problem. But seriously, can our rotation ever last more than 3 weeks into the season?
5.) The ’08 Yankee offense just won’t die.. The reappearance of the sky high number of runners left in scoring position was ridiculous.
The ‘pen is a box of chocolates.. You never know which you’re going to
get. Seems to be a toss up between the good or the bad one when the
BruMo tag team doesn’t roll out. Tonight just so happened to be a mix. The Good: Phil Coke, Albaladejo and Damaso Marte. The Bad: Mariano Rivera… and Damaso Marte.
7.) J-Bay needs to learn a thing or two. You do not smack one off Rivera. Quite the opposite in fact. He smacks you with a cut fastball that your bat can’t do anything but shatter in defense against.. Next time, get with the program.
8.) Youk won this
round.. but just a head up: protect your ribcage later today facing
A.J. big man.. Ortiz’ only spoke of headhunting.. Everything from the
neck down is fair game.
- Speaking of Big Papi.. a big old Golden Sombrero for him.. Not so mean without Manny behind you eh?
- Prez Levine is one funny dude. Despite the hint of bastardness, his comeback at Don Garber is priceless:
“Don Garber discussing Yankee attendance must be a joke. We draw more people in a year than his entire league does in a
year. If he ever gets Major League Soccer into the same time zone as
the Yankees, we might take him seriously… Hey Don, worry about Beckham, not the Yankees. Even he wants out of your league.“
- Speaking of.. I must say, Boston’s tiniest ones are the most dangerous.. I swear.. they are sneaky little.. well, you know.
On Deck: Some eff-n payback, I plead. Burnett must again be forced to perform big and now on the biggest stage in the second game of this season within the season, facing Josh Beckett at 4:10 p.m. ET.

The on and off rain the entire day didn’t make the sky a pleasant
sight, but I couldn’t have picked a better day to leave school, skip
class and head to the game, lol.. 14 innings and my best friend and
I stuck it out for all of them to watch the Melk Man deliver the game
winning walk-off homer to right after nearly 5 hours of play.. classic. Will forever have the honor of saying I was at the first extra inning game and saw the first walk-off in the new Yankee Stadium.. =D
About The Stadium: Stadium staff/security.. If you at any point wonder
why the stadium gets so deathly quiet during the games, odds are it’s
because of them. For one, the fun is nearly completely ripped out going
to the ballpark when you can’t move down to empty seats because of
staff at each opening checking to see if you belong.. It’s especially
stupid when more than half the stadium is empty.. [though the a large
portion of the other half is all crowded around, watching the game from
the staff checkpoints].. My second reason, however, is the fact that
staff & security do not tolerate jack shizz.. If one guy gets too
loud or tries to get the outfielders attention, the blue jacket people
give him a talking to quickly.. I’m sorry, but heckling and loud people are
apart of the game.. if they weren’t there, it’d be a library.. The
“heckling” wasn’t anywhere near bad either.. security, please, let
there be a little life.
One thing that did go a little overboard was some taunting turned into
an argument [two seconds from being a fight] between a couple guys up
top.. all over an umbrella blocking their view.. It was pretty stupid..
but we got some major laughs out of it, lol.. [I actually got a video
of it.. but it was a little NSFW with the language, so I won't put it up
Another thing I got some laughs out of is Nick Swisher’s complete
ownership of the bleacher creatures.. That dude amps them up and
gestures for them to make some noise when he wants it, lol.. Another
reason he’s the coolest is that unlike most, he’ll wave or look in the
direction and smile to anyone or any group of people calling his name
loud enough nearly every time [not just during the roll call].. It would
be siiick to have him spend a game that he’s not playing in sitting in
“Wait.. why did they make a big deal when he came out?” [Seriously
asked by my best friend right after Mariano's entrance.. Yeah, she's still a large
baseball virgin.. though she claims she's a Mets fan.. more like a
Yankee fan in training, hehe..]
I completely called the Jeter home run.. 3rd correct call I’ve made of
the season.. 3 more than I made in ’08.. The stadium is improving my
stats as well..
[[Yeah.. there are cup holders.. lol..]

dressed it up, gave it a shoe shine, promoted it as the hottest spot
this side of town and then opened up it for business, charging a hefty
fee at the door to compensate for the luxury. The people they targeted
filed in one by one, with big smiles and joyful faces, all for nearly
the same reason. Half had a smile that couldn’t be wiped from their
faces because they would finally able to satisfy what their eyes and
heart yearned for through the cold winter months as well as witness and
be apart of history in the making.. The other half wore grins merely as
result of the thought of later flaunting the fact they got the invite
and were simply present the day of the distinguished landmark’s
inauguration.. What the two halves had in common? They both expected
entertainment worth the entrance fee.. but disappointment gave each a
smack in the face instead. Lessons learned? 1.) Irony is cruel 2.) Baseball
Gods are malevolent and 3.) nothing can guarantee a win in the game of
baseball these days [especially when Jose Veras jogs in].
My Opening Day Thoughts:
- From what I’ve read, the crowd was disco dead
for large portions of the game, and though I didn’t state it here [I
think], I honestly felt like that was likely going to happen. When the
price tag of a single ticket to a 3 hour game is more than an
iPod, you can bet the stadium will not be filled to the brim with the
true die hard fans and/or barbaric animals that it’s usually buzzing
with. I was once fortunate enough to get an invite to go to a game with
family friends who got free tickets from a friend of their own who had
seats about 12 rows from the field in the section behind the Yankees
on deck circle.. Though it was probably one of the greatest days ever
[coming close enough to Jeter to almost touch him] it was also fairly
boring. Fact Of Baseball: The “exclusive” crowd is too “cool”
to clap, raise their voice or act even mildly out of character..that or
they just don’t drink enough.
- Bleacher creature chant: “We want Swisher” in the 7th –> hilarious.
- Babe Ruth bat was a nice touch.. but kind of seems foolish now with the way the game turned out.
Though I couldn’t sneak my way in, I was around the stadium during the
start of the game breathing it in and wow.. you could smell the
desperateness [word check?] in the air. It was something straight out
of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.. cardstock with the Yankee inaugural season logo and the date
April 16, 2009 on it was the Golden Ticket and ever so often you’d hear a
quick “Ticket? Where? You selling?” and then a “Doh!” followed right
One thing I did see was the fighter jets fly by and wow.. the coolest
[for lack of a better word] thing I’ve seen in my 18 years, by far.
From outside the Coliseum they seemed really close and were going mighty fast. Something straight out of Transformers.
Seemed that the only thing that suited the widely held visions of how
things were supposed to go down on the big day thursday was the first home run.
Though many may not have predicted Jorge to do it, I think all were
satisfied that it was accomplished by a Yankee.. and where it landed
probably couldn’t have made it more perfect.
since I won’t dare speak of the final score or the multiple
heartbreaking hits that contributed to it, moving on to Take II, aka
home runs galore.
This one was more like it.. [see pic below].
The short porch in right always made Yankee Stadium a lefty ballpark, but jeezus,
the gulf stream to right center is exaggerating that fact. All five
solo shots by the Yanks yesterday were all to right. Also, as Pete Abraham pointed out, if you count the two exhibition games with the Cubs on April 3rd & 4th, 17
home runs have been hit in 34.5 innings in the new stadium. [They probably should of saved the ASG & Derby for this year..] The new
park obviously wants to take the Yanks nickname to a whole new level..
what level exactly? Well, I like to call it outerspace.
- Speaking of smacking the ball into outerspace.. Mr. Thunderbolt actually managed to not be one of the five Yankees smacking the ball around yesterday if you can wrap your head around that.. and, in fact, unimaginably went hitless yesterday for the very first time of ’09.. *gasp*.. The impossible can happen.
Even though he put up an 0-fer, when Swish got on first base via a walk
in the 5th, the camera caught him literally howling [as in wolf style]
at one of his teammates in the dugout [whom I'm betting was Johnny
- Though I’ve said it before, Gardner’s speed is killer.. I can’t even stress it enough. Most entertaining moments of each game are Swish’s displays of awesomeness and Brett The Jet’s game of his own on the base paths.
A little heads up for the Yanks: The so called “Legends Seats” do not
seem so legendary when no one is sitting in them.. might want to give
that a thought.. just saying.
Though it’s a little different, I don’t care which spot in the outfield
he pops out of, Mo’s entrance still never gets old.. gives me
goosebumps every time.
was going to leave this out, but it must be said. For the execs that
may not get this: A ballpark isn’t a movie theater or an opera house.. the seats of the entire lower deck sicken me.. the La-Z-Boy quality is unnecessary and the isolation of each section, with the ticket police at every entrance, is a cheap shot.. The stadium is more than beautiful.. but all those people that were stating that the Yanks were ruining the game of baseball [or at least the experience of it] building this luxurious stadium, well.. a part of me can no longer disagree with them.
P.P.S. Completely forgot to mention: Numero 26 on the Latest Leaders.. that number remind you of anything eh?
P.P.P.S. I don’t know how I missed speaking of Bruney, but I must say that he has been positively kicking a**.. He has K’d 12 in his last 5.2 IP, proving Joba left the 8th in good hands indeed..
Note: I was two seconds from testing the censorship with the headline, but I figured you’d get my point.
This one may have not been a Beckham kick, but any win against a former
Yankee pitcher is one that should be exaggerated [for no other reason
than because it's funny].. and despite the offense putting up 4 runs
on the board with 7 hits, the said “kick” in the game came from the
pitcher that went 7 innings, holding down the 1st place Royals [mind
blowing, yes] to 1 run and 3 measly hits: Andy Pettitte a.k.a.
Old Reliable a.k.a. the man you should give a contract with plenty of
zeros to without him even asking for one. I don’t care if he isn’t a
young stud anymore. The guy still looks good:
… [and gives you solid outings to boot.]
Follow the formula that’s sure to bring approximately 158 more W’s with Bruney & Mo afterward and you get this:
A hell of a let down for Royals’ fans [yeah, they have some]..
Ruining opposing team home openers–> love it.
The other blast from the past, Nuke LaFarnsworth, opted to swallow
the tears this time and settle for payback by easily sitting down 3
Yankee hitters in order, all via the strikeout. We appreciate the love.
- Cano with 2 more hits today.. Did someone give this guy lighter fluid again?
DJ Swish drove in another one today. Though it may not make Nady/Matsui
happy, I say keep the guy with the hot bat in the lineup and screw the
- Alex is apparently ahead of schedule with his rehab and is looking to come back possibly at the end of April [or at least before the original May 15th target date].. Though I’m looking forward to seeing his name in the lineup again [and not Ransom's.. no offense..] his miraculous fast recovery just seems like it would be a definite backfire.. Reasons why I say this: 1.) It’s Alex Rodriguez. 2.) It’s Alex Rodriguez.
CC’s second shot at his first win in pinstripes against Horacio Ramirez
at 7:10 tomorrow night. Are these afternoon week games and
weekend night games throwing anybody else off?
